If you have a book that you would like to advertise and sell to a vibrant literary community, come join our Page One Small Press and Local Author Fair, held on the first Saturday of every month in our event space in-store.

To participate in our Small Press and Local Author Fair, all you need to do is to come in, with your own copies of the book you would like to sell and set up. You are welcome to use our cafe tables, however we ask that you do leave us enough tables for our customers to use. We do not mind at all if you have your own table or chairs that you would like to bring in. The same goes for promotional materials, display items and anything else you would like to bring with you to assist you with selling your books.

Is there a fee for authors and other participants?

     Nope - We don't charge for this event at all. Here at Page One Bookstore, we try and promote our community because it is our community that promotes us!

I'm going to be selling my book at the Local Author Fair, are there any forms I need to fill out or anyone in particular I need to speak with beforehand?

     Again, Nope. Plan on arriving at least 5-10 minutes early to allow yourself time to set up and any one of our employees can assist you, should you have any questions when you arrive.

Does the event fill up? Are there a limited number of spaces?

     We have yet to have so many participants that we couldn't fit them all. If we ever do have enough participants in the Local Author Fair, we have more than enough space in-store to expand the event.

What time is it at? Should I arrive early and if so, how early?

     The Self-Published and Local Author Fair is from 3 pm to 5 pm on the first Saturday of every month. Plan on arriving at least 5-10 minutes to allow yourself time to set up your table and books.

What about my books? Will they be provided or do I need to bring my own?

     Our Local Author Fair is a sort of do-it-yourself promotional event. We provide the space and you bring the talent. Because we do not outright facilitate the event, you will need to bring copies of your own book to sell, as it will not ring up through our registers. What if I already have my books on consignment with Page One Bookstore? 

     You are always welcome to sell the books that you already have on consignment with us and we are happy to host the books of local authors. However, we do recommend that if you have already filled out the paperwork for your books to be on consignment with us, you might want to bring extra copies of your own to sell anyways that way we still have copies of your book on the self and you have a bookstore to send people to purchase your book.
