Finding Books

We've designed our site to make online shopping as easy as possible.  Start by finding the book or item you are interested in.  You can use either the Quick Search, Detailed Search, or Browse By Category methods to find your book. You can also find many reviews and excerpts of books on our site. 

Using the Shopping Cart

When you find the title you are looking for, you can click on it, and it will automatically be placed in your shopping cart. To remove items from your cart, check the 'Remove Item' box, and click the 'Update Cart' button to remove it.  You may also cancel your order by checking the 'Remove Item' box for each item in your cart.  On the shopping cart page, you have the option of adding multiple quantities of the same item.  Simply type in how many of the item you want and then click the 'Update Cart' button. (Please Note - if you order more items than we have in stock, it will take a few extra days to receive your order.)

Completing Your Order

From the shopping cart page, you can choose to shop for more items, recalculate your total if you've added or deleted any items, proceed to pay for the items, or cancel your order.  Let's assume you've found everything you want to buy.  From the shopping cart page, click the "Proceed to Order" button.  If you are a first-time customer, you'll be asked to enter your personal information before you proceed.  You will not be asked for your credit card number just yet.  As long as you don't delete the cookie placed on your computer by our web server, you will only need to enter this information once.  After this page(or if you are a repeat customer), you will be taken to the payment and shipping page. This is a secure web page, encrypted, and verified by Verisign Inc. Please make sure to check for the lock icon at the bottom of your browser.  To be 100% safe, check your address bar and make sure you are still within the www.page1book.com site. Your personal information, with the exception of your credit card information will appear on this page. You may safely enter your credit card information now.  Double check your order and personal information, enter your credit card information, and click the "Order Now!" button.  Thats all there is to it!

We will promptly send you an e-mail confirming your order, after it has been placed. 

Your Account

You can change your account settings by clicking on the "Your Account" links at the top right or at the left side of each page on our site. You can change your home address, as well as add, edit, or delete additional shipping addresses for your account.

The Fine Print

We list information for virtually every book in print, as well as many thousands of out of print titles in our online database. That's upwards of a million titles. A significant portion of the information we display on our site is provided to us by the publishers and distributors with whom we do business.

While we make every effort to display the correct price and availability on our site, there are situations out of our control that can make this information become incorrect. Page One does not guarantee that price and availability information on our site are always correct. However, if there is a problem, we do notify you before you are charged for the items you order.
